Daniela Krtsch was born in Göttingen, Germany; she lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
Daniela Krtsch works in painting, photography, and sculpture to create dialogues and suspended narratives, inspired by personal and collective memories and experiences, through which she explores the intersections between reality and fiction.
Her practice is characterized by a great openness and willingness to experiment with new media and different forms of expression, blending conventional techniques to create unusual results.
Krtsch has held exhibitions in major European cities, including Lisbon, Paris, Barcelona, Athens, and London. She regularly collaborates with fashion brands to develop utilitarian objects, accessories, or clothing, as was the case with Krvkurva or Nike / ModaLisboa.
Represented in major institutional collections, such as the Deutsche Bank Collection, the PLMJ Collection, and the Navacerrada Collection, among others, the artist has a prolific body of work that is highly appreciated by her collectors. The artist has been exhibiting nationally and internationally since 2000.
