Biography Monteiro Gil ◄ Back

Born in 1943 in Guarda, Monteiro Gil lives and works in Lisbon.

The Escola Superior de Belas Artes of Lisbon attributed him his diploma and a grant was later assigned by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
Currently lecturing at a secondary school, he also teaches photography.
Between 1972 and 1997 he formed a part of the group "IRIS".
His personal research has been sponsored betweem 1996 and 2000 by "CONTAX" Portugal.
