João Miguel Ramos was born on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores, in 1994. He lives and works between Porto and the Azores. Graduated in Fine Arts – Painting for the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (2016). Studied at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (2019). Completed the Master in Visual Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (2020).
Works in an open and multidisciplinary way in which the medium of painting is seen as way of framing.
In November 2021, he was also distinguished with the Infanta Dona Maria Francisca Prize, in Painting.
He is represented by Fonseca Macedo Gallery.
